Accusing Community or an Understanding Community?

Sentinaro Longkumer, CTC

You go down the woods and you feel the wave The wave of struggles, of fear, of pessimism, of storm You feel the harsh wind shaking the strong trees, You see the birds hiding beneath the branches And you feel the rain in your hair.

Then the woods, as a community, withstand the storms in mutual cooperation. The trees try to stand still against the storm, The leaves do not accuse its branches for shaking Nor do the birds accuse the trees for shaking, But they all brave the storm together. In them you see an understanding community.

Now, I travel a similar path with nature As I walk down the road and face the storms…. Do I accuse my co-travellers for the storm? For not being strong, for letting the rain wet them!! If I do, I am an accuser, and when you do, we become an accusing community. But if I walk down the road helping the feeble against the storm, Then, I understand, and when you do, we become an understanding community.
