Pungro/Suruhoto, April 24 (MExN): The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Pungro in Kiphire and the Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil) (SDO-C) of Suruhoto under Zunheboto have issued separate travel advisories. ADC Pungro, Vekusheyi Rhakho, has informed that the bridge at Likimro River below Salomi connecting Khongsa to the Mimi area has been temporarily closed for urgent renovation from April 23 and is scheduled to remain closed until April 30 or until the completion of the repair works. During the closure period, the public and vehicles commuting to or from the Mimi area to Pungro Hq and Khongsa Hq have been advised to take the alternative route via New Vongti-Moya.
Meanwhile, SDO (C) Suruhoto, Trongdipa Tongpi, in a circular, has notified the blockage of the road in various locations between Lithsami Village and Yehemi Village due to excess mudslide and landslides. Accordingly, he informed all commuters traveling to Kohima and Dimapur via Zunheboto or vice versa, as well as Tuensang and other districts of Eastern Nagaland, that the said road would be closed for all kinds of vehicles until further notice.
