Tseminyu, June 26 (MExN): Starting June 28, a new set of traffic regulations will come into force in Tseminyu New Town to facilitate smooth traffic movement. An order to this effect was issued by Tseminyu Additional Deputy Commissioner W Manpai Phom through the state DIPR on Saturday.
As per the new rules, heavy vehicles have been restricted from parking alongside the stretch of national highway/main road between the LPG gas agency area (main road junction) and the Bank of Baroda, Tseminyu new town. The wider roadside portion of the highway from LPG gas agency areas towards Tseminyu old town may be utilized as alternative parking spots for the heavy vehicles, the order stated.
It said that loading or unloading of goods and other materials on/from vehicles alongside the main town would not be permitted during the day. Such loading/unloading should be completed by 8:00 am, it added.
It also cautioned other vehicles from parking haphazardly and obstructing the smooth flow of traffic. Any vehicle owners/drivers found in contravention of the regulations shall be liable to be fined or booked under appropriate provisions of the law, the ADC’s order stated. The order shall come into force from June 28, it added.
