Tseminyu, January 26 (MExN): The Rengma Selo Zi (RSZ) has expressed concerns regarding the ongoing construction of the Circular Road from NH-2 to the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Tseminyu, while also assuring cooperation for its timely completion.
RSZ inspected the ongoing Circular Road construction at its District headquarter, Tseminyu on January 26.
In a press statement, RSZ President Kegwayhun Tep and General Secretary Hiyalo Jemu acknowledged the significance of the long-awaited project, which had been pending for over a decade. They noted the road will benefit residents, pedestrians, students, and office-goers, while addressing issues of dust pollution and poor road conditions.
However expressing the concerns to the contractor and Urban Development Department, the RSZ emphasised that the construction must adhere strictly to approved departmental specifications and Detailed Project Report (DPR) to ensure quality, durability, and proper engineering standards.
Citing the road’s vital public utility, it cautioned that any compromise in workmanship would be viewed seriously. It stated that deviations from approved specs would compel the RSZ to “initiate any course of action as deemed fit.”
The RSZ assured the Urban Development Department and the executing contractor of its “fullest cooperation” for the smooth and timely completion of the project. It expressed hope that mutual coordination and adherence to guidelines would minimise public hardships during the construction phase.
