Adhoc Town Council issues rejoinder to DMC

Dimapur, November 4 (MExN): In reference to the allegations made by the NPCC Media Cell on exorbitant of essential commodities published o November 2 and the subsequent response from the DMC, the Adhoc Town Council, Purana Bazar, East Dimapur has clarified on the rate of bricks and sand.
The Adhoc Town Council in a rejoinder issued its chairman Vihoshe Awomi stated that ‘all brick kilns are situated under the jurisdiction of this civic body and hence it was shocking to see the DMC interfering with our affairs.’ To make the matter clear, the Council cited the order by the district administration dated 13th of July 2011, vide No DEV/11/RATE/2009 where the rate of 1st class brick has been fixed at Rs.5 per piece. A copy of the same was forwarded to the Chief Executive Officer, DMC. Since the matter falls under the preview of the Adhoc Town Council, it is requested that interference will not be tolerated and the Council request all concerned to consult the Adhoc Town Council in case of any matters which falls under their jurisdiction.
The Adhoc Town Council has also informed all concerned that they are doing the best to streamline the rates of essential commodities within their jurisdiction and will continue to do so for the general interest of the common people.
