DIMAPUR, JULY 12 (MExN): Advisor Law & Justice TN Mannen called on Union Minister Law and Justice, Parliamentary Affairs & Art & Culture, Arjun Ram Meghwal on Tuesday.
During the meeting, the Advisor shared the pressing problems of the Law & Justice department mainly relating to the construction of Nagaland State High Court, and other infrastructure need for the State, a press release received from Kuolie Mere, Deputy Director (IPR), Nagaland House, New Delhi stated.
Further, requirement of Parliament approval for establishment of the High Court as per the requirement under the North Eastern Reorganisation Act was also conveyed. The Union Minister was responsive to the issues explained and assured support besides expressing his willingness to visit Nagaland soon, the press release stated.
TN Mannen also officially called on Dr Bibek Debroy, Chairman, Economic Advisory Council (EAC) to Prime Minister on July 7 last. During the meeting, he discussed issues related to the High Court infrastructure development, establishment of Customary Court etc while seeking the intervention of the Prime Minister. Accordingly, the Chairman assured his support and cooperation to look into the matter more closely, the press release stated.
