Kohima, April 12 (MExN): The Athletics Federation of India (AFI), in collaboration with Nagaland Athletics, will host an official press conference ahead of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2026 in Kohima.
According to a press release, the press conference is scheduled for April 13 at 6:30 PM at the Conference Hall of Hotel Vivor.
The interaction will bring together senior officials and delegates from AFI, along with representatives from the global athletics fraternity, to share updates and insights on the upcoming AGM.
The release stated that the event holds significance as Nagaland will host the Annual General Meeting of a national federation for the first time, reflecting the state’s growing role in athletics development.
The AGM 2026 will be held on April 14 and 15 in Kohima, bringing together officials, representatives, and stakeholders from across the country for deliberations on the future of athletics in India.
Media have also been invited to cover the inaugural session scheduled on April 14 at 10:00 AM at Hotel Vivor.
The session will be attended by Chief Guest Neiphiu Rio and Guest of Honour Lalit K. Bhanot.
The organisers stated that the events will provide opportunities for media interaction, key announcements, and discussions on the direction of athletics development at national and regional levels.
