Kohima, January 2 (MExN): Jeremy Nitova Zhimomi, 8 years, has become the youngest rated chess player of Nagaland.
He received his FIDE ELO rating of 1420 on January 1, 2026 from the World Chess Federation (FIDE), according to Mughaho Awomi, International Arbiter.
“This achievement is a proud moment for the state,” stated Awomi.
Jeremy is the son of Anato Zhimomi and Naomi Zhimomi. He is the grandson of late Khekiho Zhimomi, former Minister and former Rajya Sabha MP and the grandson-in-law of Dr Neiphiu Rio, Chief Minister of Nagaland.
