Agri minister visits Longsa villagers

Dimapur, July 30 (DIPR): As part of his constituency tour, Nagaland Minister for Agriulture, Dr.Chumben Murry visited Longsa Village on July 29, 2011. Addressing the gathering, the Minister said that unity will bring peace and development among the people and urged the village functionaries to be transparent and judicious while implementing government policies and schemes for the welfare of the village. He further apprised the villagers about the government ideologies and policies where the present government had taken initiatives for the benefit of the general public. He also encouraged the people of Longsa to preserve their cultural identity and make good use of the natural resources for economic stability.
Deputy Commissioner Wokha, Rovilatuo Mor in his short speech lauded the villagers for successfully forming the Village Council. He further appreciated the people of Longsa village for their support in making the Town a peaceful place, where he reminded both the Longsa and Wokha Village to be a guardian Village of Wokha Town in maintaining peace in the land. The program attended by host of Government Officials, Party leaders and public was chaired by Chairman of Longsa Village Zayio Ezung, while vote of thanks was proposed by VDB Secretary, Longsa Village Zuthungbemo Ezung.
