Dimapur, August 20 (MExN): A 10-day Agriculture Field Assistant (AFA) refresher course will be conducted from August 23 to September 1 at SAMETI hall, IETC, Medziphema. Shri. T.V.Holo Addl. Director, Agriculture & Director (SAMETI) will be the chief guest for the inaugural function on August 23.
Various aspects of new technologies on crop production, watershed, farm mechanization, IPM & bio-agents, fertilizers & bio- fertilizers, agril. marketing, livestock farming, agriculture schemes, organic farming and certification, agril. Census & statics, practical demonstrations and field visits will be conducted, informed the Addl.Director of Agriculture & Director in a press note.
The resource persons will be viz; E.H.Lotha, Jt. Dir; Rongsenienla, Dy. Dir; Ikuto Zhimomi, Dy. Dir; Thungjamo, Dy. Dir; Inavi, Dy.Dir; Dr. Amenla, LTO; Jacob Yanthan, SDAO; Bendanglila, APP; Benjamin i/c Bio-fert. Lab; Watila Jamir, lecturer, IETC; Dr. James Kuba, APPO; Tokeho, SMS (KVK); Dr. Ithika, DPD; Engrala, DPD and Akumienla, DPD. Districts AFAs nominated are hereby informed to report for registration by 9:00 a.m sharp on 23rd august and to bring along light beddings, mosquito nets etc.
