AICC Prez to address Kohima public rally on Oct 7

All India Congress Committee (AICC) president and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge  will be addressing  a public rally in Kohima on October 7.

Announcing this through a press conference here today, Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) president and MP Lok Sabha S. Supongmeren Jamir said that the rally have been scheduled at Naga Solidarity Park, Kohima at 11:00 AM.

“This Public Rally is mainly to “Save Democracy, Save Secularism and Save Nagaland,” Jamir said.
This Rally would also emphasis on political agenda, youth empowerment and entrepreneurship agendas, good governance, road connectivity, he said.

Jamir said that Core Committee, Political Affairs Committee of the NPCC and DCC presidents will have a separate meeting with Kharge.

Stating that this Rally designed for the welfare of the people, Jamir made an appeal to the citizens of Nagaland and minorities to be together in the rally and discuss and put forward the problems that will be carried forward by the national leaders.

“We are expecting not less than 10,000 people,” he said.

Further, Jamir said that other political parties can also come and join how to save democracy, secularism and Nagaland state.

NPCC general secretary and organizing committee co-convenor Akuonuo Miachieo said that Kharge will be accompanied by AICC General Secretary (Org) K. C. Venugopal and AICC In-charge for Nagaland Saptagiri Sankar Ulaka.
