Dimapur, October 1 (MExN): A training to empower youth on livelihood was organized at SBI- RSETI (SBI- Rural Self Employment Training Institute), Jalukie, Peren. The training was held as part of the SBI Gram Seva programme implemented in five adopted villages under Chümoukedima sub-division of Dimapur District, namely Urra, Bade, Tsithrongse, Diezephe and Khriezephe. 

The programme is implemented by ANMA Integrated Development Association (AIDA), the Development wing of Salesians of Don Bosco, Dimapur Province. 

Two batches were trained on pig rearing and management for small scale farmers during the month of September. The 10 day long training for 28 participants from Bade, Diezephe and Khriezephe village was held from September 6 to 15 and another 10 day long training for 29 participants  from Urra, Bade and neighboring villages Sovima and Seluophe was held from September 16 to 25. Gram Seva staff from AIDA also visited the training centre during the course of trainings and had interactions with the farmers. 

On September 18, during Cluster Finance Programme at Naithu Resort, 7th Mile Dimapur, 28 participants received in principle sanction letter for PM Mudra piggery loan in the presence of Lunkim Thangboi, General Manager (NW-II), SBI, NE Circle, SMT; Ajanta Hazarika, Deputy General Manager (B & O), SBI, AO Jorhat; Abinash Hembrom, AGM, RBO, SBI Dimapur Branch; and Novin Basumatary, RSETI Director. The other batch will be receiving such assistance for credit linkages in coming days.   

There will be more trainings of such nature be organized as per the community need in future for the adopted villages, informed a press release.
