Aiponger Baptist Church under Shamator District celebrated its platinum jubilee on January 9 and 10.
Shamator, January 11 (MExN): The Aiponger Baptist Church of Yimkhiung Baptist Borü Amukhungto (YBBA) under Shamator District celebrated platinum jubilee under the theme ‘Celebrating the Gospel Freedom’ on January 9 and 10.
Rev Dr SJ Akhum, Executive Secretary, YBBA dedicated and unveiled the Jubilee Monolith.
“This is the third church to attain the Platinum Jubilee amongst the Yimkhiung community,” stated a press release issued by Rev Hetozü, Pastor, Aiponger Baptist Church.
The jubilee speakers were Rev Dr Athsan, Pastor YBC Dimapur who hails from Aiponger Village and Rev Dr SJ Akhum.
Churches and individuals under YBBA, invitees from neighbouring Sumi village Ngozübo and Zhehishe and more than 600 Aiponger citizens living outside witnessed the celebrations. The jubilee was celebrated under the leadership of Rev Hetozü Pastor, Holen Head GB and Yanjikhiung Council Chairman.
