Dimapur, August 20 (MExN): The Angami Krotho Delhi (AKD) members had a meeting with two representatives from the Angami Youth Organisation (AYO) on August 8 at Nagaland House, New Delhi.
The AYO was represented by their President and Press Secretary, Khrielievi Chusi and Aja Zinyu. The AKD were represented by David Sashu(Senior Member), Kekhrie Pfukha(Advisor), Akhrienuo Miachieo(Women co-ordinator), Lhusino Sale (Gen. Sect), Ajano Iralu(Fin. Sect), Melvin Yhome(Sports Sect), Zhapuvi Liegise(VP).
The meeting commenced with words of wisdom and advice from Khrielievi Chusi as well as a huge amount of encouragement. He stressed the importance of maintaining our culture no matter how far we are from home. He spoke about how we, the students who are away from home with the blessings of loved ones at home should thrive ahead with determination and sincerity. The need for updates and cooperation between student unions outside of home and their appex bodies back was stated with significance. Aja Zinyu also shared ideas on how to go about the smooth and successful working of the AKD. David Sachu and Kekhrie Pfukha then shared about the plans and projects of the AKD for this academic year which was well received by the AYO representatives.
“The AYO donated a sum Rs 10,000 to AKD to assist us in our projects for which the AKD would like to thank them with the utmost appreciation. It is with such aid that the AKD survives and functions without hindrances,” stated a press note received here.
