Chumoukedima, November 17 (MExN): The Cornerstone Theological College on November 15 organised a one-day Amateur Badminton Men’s Doubles Tournament in Urra village, Chumoukedima.
KITOHO ROTOKHA, LJP in-charge of Tripura & Arunachal Pradesh, graced the occasion as the chief guest. In his address, Rotokha encouraged the students and the participants to engage in sports as an essential component of holistic development alongside academic pursuits.
He further urged the gathering to continue honing their sporting abilities, emphasising that aspiring beyond amateur levels was vital as, he claimed, excellent sportsmanship was the need of the hour.
William Zeliang and Lanuyabang Imsong won the first position, while the duo of Azikeh Sangtam and Aduzo Dozo secured the second position.
The event was compered by Hitokali, Chaplain, and the opening prayer was led by Dr Inatoli K Sema, Principal. The programme concluded with a thanksgiving prayer offered by Dr Gaihenlung Kamei.
