DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 6 (MExN): Union Home Minister Amit Shah today highlighted a “clear road-map for amicable, legislative and sustainable solution for Eastern Nagaland,” to the talk team of the Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation (ENPO).
A press release issued by the Talk Team of the ENPO informed that the organization met the Home Minister on December 6 along with Phangnon Konyak, MP (RS); Secretary, MHA, GoI; Director IB; Addl. Secretary, MHA (NE); and Advisor Northeast.
Terming the meeting as “very successful,” the ENPO appreciated the Union Home Minister “for his concern and granting ample time to the ENPO team.”
The Home Minister reportedly “appreciated the Eastern people for being a part of nation building thus far, which, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also aware.” The Union Home Minister stated that the grievances and request for a separate entity is “understood.”
The ENPO informed that the roadmap for a “solution” for Eastern Nagaland will include consultation with the people of Eastern Nagaland and the Nagaland State Government. The Union Home Minister also assured to visit Eastern Nagaland personally by January 2023.
