The struggle to have an independent Nation is a distant dream for all the Naga living in the country, build on the blood of many Nagas who have sacrifice their precious live to have a separate nation. The initial stage of national struggle was filled with valor and patriotism, with full support from the people, many people lost their lives protecting and sheltering the freedom fighter by provding food and basic amenities however, at present scenario the path towards the goal look astray due to the various reason. The national workers are dividing among themselves, it has evolved with time, from the inception of the national struggle till present day it has changed the support of the people has reduce, it is sad to see that the admiration towards Naga national workers has turn into fear as large number of the cadres are either involved in drug addiction or extortion. It is time for the national worker to unify under one umbrella and put nation first instead of personal interest if they truly represent the people. During the early days of the Naga Struggle for freedom people were willing to risk their life to protect the National workers which has change into fear drifting away from the goal and fighting among then the quest of power and personal gain, adding to that the cadets have become ill discipline, engaging in extortion, kidnapping and threatening the common public. They have become a mechanism tool for creating anti-social element instead of giving protection and maintain peace and harmony with the people they develop a fear psychosis in the minds of the people.
The national struggle is reducing into a bargaining chip. If these trends continue the fate of Naga will perish into a thin air. A true nationalist should come together keeping aside their difference and focus on achieving the aspiration of the people. The present scenario aptly represents “a house divided soon to fall and perish.”
Man is the most excellent all living being, without law and justice he would be the worst of all, for nothing is subdue as injustice in arm, need of political virtue Lack of clarity and road map within the nation workers.
It is believed that the Nagas are all the descend of Manasseh the lost tribe of Israel, it is imperative to state that the Nagaland maybe the Promised Land. The present Nagaland is founded with the covenant with God, which led to the formation of present state Nagaland with its synonyms “ Nagaland for Christ” was establish in the year 1963 however, it is disheartening to see the division among the Nagas of Nagaland as, Central, North, Southern and Eastern with 25 plus factions. The nation works has divided in tiny bits with its own government, nowhere in the history of world has so many heads. It is my appeal to all the Nation workers to unify under the common umbrella if they truly represent the aspiration of the people.
