Through this esteemed daily, I would like to appeal to both the Yimchunger and Tikhirs especially the people of Pungro and Kiusam area to give peace a chance and to co-exist peacefully.
Moreover, the majority of both the communities depend on their field for sustaining their livelihood. Because of the prevailing unrest and the psycho of their and suspicion amongst each other, the public cannot attend to their fields like in normal times, which may affect their harvest which directly affect their livelihood. The majority of the students are from this background and it will directly affect their education which is a loss to both the communities.
Therefore, the leaders of both the communities are urged to puts in their heads together for amicable solution and permanent peace, instead of giving allegation/ counter allegation or accusing one another without any proper reason. Let us not give hatred a chance to rear its ugly head for hatred towards one another only disturbs the peaceful co-existence, violence begets violence and it will continue in a cascading effect. The result is that, no one but the public of both communities will be the sufferers. So the onus is on the leaders of both the communities to initiate in bringing peace understanding and lasting solution so that they be remembered as the blessed ones.
