DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 5 (MExN): The Naga National Council (Parent Body) today said that it stands committed to support the Eastern Naga People’s Organization (ENPO) “in their pursuit for justice of the Oting massacre by the Para Special Force of Government of India on December 4, 2021.”
“Till date there has been no justice for the victim’s families who are grieving for the last one year. This was and is a heinous crime, and in spite of protests and condemnations by the Northeast people and the people around the world for justice and also to repeal the Armed Forces Special Power Act (AFSPA) by the Government of India in the Northeast region, they have turned a blind eye and deaf ear to these demands,” a press release from the Information and Publicity Wing of the NNC (Parent Body) stated.
“Therefore, it is an insult to all the people who stood against the killing of innocent lives, and voiced for justice for the last one year,” it added. The NNC (Parent Body) termed the incident as an “intentional crime against the people and humanity at large by the so called largest and biggest democracy India.”
