Kohima, September 12 (MExN): The All Nagaland College Students' Union (ANCSU) today demanded the state government for setting up of separate Scholarship Nodal Cell within 27 days based on the cabinet decision and approval on June 12, 2019.
The union acknowledged the state government under the initiative of Chief Secretary for responding to the Union's ultimatum within the stipulated period.
The resolution adopted to ensure smoothing functioning of the cell is well appreciated and place our assertion that the state government will sincerely execute the implementation of Scholarship Nodal Cell (SNC) under the Directorate of Higher Education, the union stated.
ANCSU president Tenyesinlo Bukh and general secretary Kivinoka A. Sema stated that the Union will continue to remain vigilant on this issue and “hereby alert the state government and scholarship implementing departments not to introduce new excuses in deputing permanent officials to SNC.”
Henceforth, should there be further delay- tactics in the process of full implementation of SNC, the Union shall resort to any befitting democratic protest, the union added.
