Dimapur, November 19 (MExN): Orientation training for Anganwadi Helpers under Meluri Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Project was organized on November 15 at Meluri Village Council Hall, Meluri. Deputy Director, Social Welfare and Programme Officer, ICDS, Shikuto Sema speaking as a resource person deliberated on the topics relating to “the duties of the anganwadi helpers, health education, population control and HIV/AIDS”, while two other resource persons, Supervisors (Meluri Project), Chirhotshu and Porhutho spoke on “maintenance of various registers in the absence of Anganwadi Workers and maintenance of monthly progress report in the absence of Anganwadi Worker” respectively.
The programme was chaired by Child Development Project Officer, Meluri, Rukuvoto Ringa and vote of thanks was delivered by Porhutho. A good number of Anganwadi helpers from all the 31 villages under Meluri Sub-division attended the orientation training, which is the first of its kind in the said project.
