Chümoukedima, April 29 (MExN): The All Nagaland Private Schools’ Association (ANPSA), Chümoukedima Unit, on Wednesday organised a felicitation programme to honour HSLC and HSSLC toppers of 2026 at CPO Hall in Chümoukedima.
The event aimed at recognising academic excellence and inspiring students across the region to strive for higher achievements.
Chairman of MARCOFED, Dr M Chuba Imsong, attended the programme as the special guest. The event was chaired by ANPSA executive member P J Nathan and began with an invocation by Rev A Temsu Lkr, President of the Pastors Fellowship, Chümoukedima.
ANPSA president Elizabeth Dozo, in her address, congratulated the students and lauded their hard work, perseverance and commitment. A special presentation by Great Commission Higher Secondary School, Naga United Village, added to the occasion.
The highlight of the programme was the felicitation of students who excelled in the HSLC 2026 examination.
Those honoured included Gwakelo Kent (12th rank, 96.00 per cent) of St Joseph Higher Secondary School, Chümoukedima; Shamima Akthar (13th rank, 95.83 per cent) of Cosmopolitan School, Chümoukedima; Annmaria P S (13th rank, 95.83 per cent) of Saint John’s Higher Secondary School, Chümoukedima; Basudeb Das (17th rank, 95.17 per cent) of North Town Higher Secondary School, Chümoukedima; Impunenla Pongen (17th rank, 95.17 per cent) of Unity Christian Higher Secondary School, Chümoukedima; Kelina R K (19th rank, 95.00 per cent) of Saint Savio Higher Secondary School, Chümoukedima; and Andrew Billung (20th rank, 94.83 per cent) of Saint John’s Higher Secondary School, Chümoukedima.
Speaking on behalf of the toppers, Impunenla Pongen expressed gratitude and encouraged fellow students to remain dedicated and focused in their academic pursuits.
In his address, the special guest urged students to uphold discipline, determination and integrity as key pillars of success.
The vote of thanks was proposed by ANPSA vice-president Imti Temsu Chakhesang, while the programme concluded with a benediction by advisor Bendangchuba.
Officials from the Chümoukedima Chambers of Commerce, Chümoukedima Town Women Organisation, along with school heads, parents, teachers and students attended the event.
The programme concluded with a photo session and refreshments. ANPSA reiterated its commitment to promoting quality education and recognising excellence across Nagaland.
