ANPWD (R&B) & (H)/W/CE/ASSO appeals

Kohima, October 19 (MExN): The All Nagaland PWD (R&B) & (H) Workcharge Employees Association (ANPWD (R&B) & (H)/W/CE/ASSO) today appealed to the concerned department to strictly adhere Order No. AR-3/GEN-67/2001 DT. Kohima 22nd Sept 2004. OM. policy and scheme for regularization of W/C employees.

In a letter addressed to minister for NPWD (R&B)today, the Association while highlighting its grievances and seeking kind intervention at the earliest, said that as per the government standing order as cited above, “ which is clearly mentioned, whenever available vacancy arises in the deptt.50 % of the post will be filled up for senior most cum merit basis have the right to be considered first for the regularized when they possess the requisite qualification.”

The Association said that it has been observed that the present appointment system in the department is completely violating the government standing order, as most of the available vacancy in the department are being given chances to the fresh candidate instead of work charged employees have the right to consider first for regularized.

In this respect, the Association approached to the competent authority that “if the system of fresh appointment have given first privilege against available vacancy then the association have no option but to seek the legal implication.”

The Association president Khrielakuo Mepfuo and general secretary Kuhoshe Swu appealed to the concerned department “to safe and protect the right of the w/c employees by providing vacancies to the departmental regularization board.”

Further, it also appealed to the concerned department to prepare monthly regularized board sitting for the w/c employees “otherwise the association would go for agitation against department.”
