ANSTGA informs tea plantation subsidy beneficiaries

Dimapur, April 23 (MExN): The All Nagaland Small Tea Growers’ Association (ANSTGA) stated that it has through several representations to the concerned authorities have sought for settlement of back log subsidy after conducting proper survey. A press note issued by  D Hukiye Kibami, president and I Imi Yaden, general secretary ANSTGA stated, “However, the Tea Board have started issuing cheques based on survey which was opposed by the ANSTGA being unreliable as the same as conducted by Tea Board officials with incompetent and  unskilled associates using GPS.”
Therefore, the ANSTGA through the note would like to inform all the tea farmers whose subsidy amount does not tally their plantation may submit their respective cheques to the ANSTGA head office at Highridge, 2 ½ Mile, Darogapathar, Dimapur on or before May 5, 2011 for consultation and further necessary legal action. The note further said that Tea Growers who have obtained registration card (no objection card) from Tea Board and planted tea and could not submit their relevant documents for claiming subsidy during 2006-2009, owing to sudden stoppage by the Tea Board may also submit their registration card (NOC) to the above mentioned head office.
