The All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) Wokha Unit organised a Christmas Carol programme out in and around Wokha town on Sunday evening beginning from the Public Ground. The programme was attended by members of the association as well as the All Commercial Vehicle Association, Wokha.
As part of the celebration, the association distributed coffee and cakes to police personnel on duty and members of the public as a gesture of gratitude for their service.
Addressing the gathering, the Unit President T Renbemo Kikon extended warm Christmas greetings to all.
Highlighting the role of taxi drivers and operators, he said that ANTA members spend long hours on the road serving the people of Wokha and beyond, ensuring the safe transportation of passengers and sharing in their journeys.
He added that through the Christmas carolling, the members were also spreading a message of goodwill, kindness and unity within the community.
Kikon expressed hope that the carols would bring joy to the people and help strengthen community bonds. He further thanked ANTA members and their families for their dedication and service throughout the year and encouraged them to continue serving the public with humility, care and responsibility.
He concluded by wishing everyone a blessed Christmas and prayed for safety, peace and prosperity in the coming New Year. The programme concluded with fellowship and refreshments.
