DIMAPUR, JUNE 14 (MExN): The Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) has lauded the joint efforts from NSF and ENSF initiating to revoke any kind of taxation in educational institutions in Nagaland. In this regard the Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) has endorsed its support to the apex students’ body and asked all organizations to halt such donations and tax. The Ao Students’ Conference in a press note issued by its General Secretary Waluniba Jamir and N. Akok Longkumer, President therefore stated that it will remain as a watchdog and would not tolerate any group and organizations imposing taxation of any kinds on educational institutions. The Angami Students’ Union ( ASU) also extended its full support to the NSF and the ENSF in regard to the ‘Campaign against taxation in Educational institutions’ and acknowledged the collective efforts of the two apex bodies to ban any kind of taxes on governmental or private educational institutions.
The ASU stated that it will put to affect the total ban within the jurisdiction of Angami inhabited areas and not entertain or tolerate any group or organization imposing taxation in any form on educational Institutions, a release received said. The Union also strongly appealed to the leaders of National Workers or any organization to monitor its other members or individuals from future indulging in illegal taxation.
