DIMAPUR, AUGUST 9 (MExN): Aotula T Imchen, IPS, today assumed office as Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, following a brief handover ceremony at the Commissioner of Police Headquarters here, a press note issued by DCP (Crime) & PRO Dimapur informed here today. She succeeds Kevithuto Sophie, IPS, who has been promoted and posted as IGP (Armed BN/IR) and IGP (VG) at Police Headquarters, Kohima.
In her remarks after taking charge, Imchen said, “It is an honour to serve the people of the Police Commissionerate districts of Dimapur, Chümoukedima and Niuland. I am committed to upholding the rule of law, strengthening public trust, and ensuring the safety and security of all communities across our city. I seek the cooperation of all.”
With years of distinguished service, she brings extensive operational and leadership experience to the post. Prior to this assignment, she served as DCP Dimapur, SP Mokokchung, SP Wokha and Commandant of the 7th NAP Battalion, in addition to holding mid-level postings across various districts of Nagaland in her early career.
