Dimapur, October 5 (MExN): The Aoyimti Village Council (AVC) handed over a garbage dumping truck to Aoyimti Lanur Telongjem to manage the various aspects of cleanliness in the village during a flag off programme on October 5.  

The flagging off of the truck was part of transforming the Aoyimti Village into a model village, in align with the National flagship programme "Swachh Bharat" and in continuation of the yearlong platinum jubilee celebration of AVC, informed a press release from the AVC Chairperson, Imnukloba and Secretary, A Polongnok Lkr.

The truck was received from Airport Authority of India under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Initiatives, it said. 

Flagging off the truck, Member of Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Muthingnyuba Sangtam encouraged all the stakeholders to contribute as a responsible citizen in developing the village. 

The AVC Chairperson also appealed all the villagers to cooperate and be a trendsetter for the generation.
