Apostolic Nuncio to India visit St. Joseph’s College

Kohima, September 9 (MExN): On the occasion of the visit of the Apostolic Nuncio to India, Most Rev. Salvatore Pennacchio the College organized a short felicitation programme.
In welcoming His Excellency, Kelengol, President Student’s Council apprised him that with its panoramic and eye catching scenic view of its surroundings, St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama is one of the premier institutes of higher education in Nagaland. The Josephite Family is formed of staff and students coming from different parts of India, with varied culture, language, social and ethnic background. He expressed gratitude to the Apostolic Nuncio for his kind gesture in visiting the College.
While addressing the gathering the Apostolic Nuncio said that the Students’ are the ray of hope and the future of Nagaland and of the Country and encouraged the students to be energetic, joyful and enthusiastic in their pursuit of knowledge and excellence in life.
Having reached the age of 59 years have not diminished his zest in life especially in the midst of the young people, he urged the students to prepare for life not only intellectually but also spiritually. At the end of the function the Apostolic Nuncio to India, gave the Apostolic Blessing to the Institution and to the Josephite Family. Also to care and promote love for mother Earth and in commemoration of his visit, he planted a sapling in the College premise.
