The battle lines are clearly drawn in Nagaland. It is perhaps for the good of our future. This is the time for serious introspection and dialogue, and ensuring positive results. The blame game should stop; all of us, without exception, have sinned. Let us soften our hearts and reconcile to evolve a proper system of governance for our society, involving all the stake holders, including the elected representatives and every single citizen of Nagaland. Perhaps, following the lead of the NBCC, this is also the best opportunity to clean up our election system.
In these trying times let us spare a thought for our dear children. The HSLC, HSSLC, and other exams start from Tuesday. The tension is tormenting them. If violence sets in now, they, our biggest assets and future hope of Nagaland, lose. Let us set aside our differences and allow a peaceful atmosphere to prevail. Please, let’s give them a chance to do their best.
