Dimapur May 18 (MExN): The Zeliangrong Baudi (Hoho) while reaffirming its earlier stand that it would support whatever decision the Government of Nagaland takes in choosing the Peren district headquarter, has appealed to all individuals and organizations to refrain from going to press “at the drop of the hat” so as not to create any further confusion in regard to the issue. A communiqué issued by the Baudi press secretary Kedi Haralu appealed to all concern to contact the Baudi president or executive members or the government for clarification or objections, instead of going to the press. An appeal was also made to editors of all news dailies not to entertain any press releases that would be detrimental for the future development of Peren district.
“This opportunity of setting up a planned model headquarter is an opportunity of a lifetime and no other districts had such an opportunity. Therefore it would be wise to refrain from going to the press but instead solve it amongst ourselves, for if development is to come, there has to be an open and broad mind” the communiqué stated. The Baudi is always available for any clarification or questions, if any arises, so also the government can be contacted, it added.
