DIMAPUR, APRIL 7 (MExN): In a recent meeting with their parent body, the Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO), the Chokri Area Public Organization (CAPO) and the Chozouba Range Public Organization (CRPO) deliberated on the matter relating to safe passage and security of travelers within the jurisdiction of the two subordinate organizations. The CPO was represented by its President Vedayi Nyekha and his team.
Judging by past instances, certain road incidents were caused by ‘outsiders’ rather than by locals, a release issued by the CAPO and CRPO said. “It becomes difficult for the local leaders to pursue and bring the miscreants to book,” the organizations said and appealed to the CPO and Sumi Hoho to appreciate its predicaments “while the subordinate organizations are committed to give cooperation.”
Saying that when travelers are harassed within their area by none other than the cadres of any faction, they said it becomes beyond the manageability of the local leaders to tackle it. “We therefore appeal to parent organizations to seek the cooperation from our national workers.
“The CAPO and CRPO are constrained to appeal to Sumi Hoho to prevail upon its citizens to be more cautious by not rushing to press media in near future in the event of such road incidents so that cases can be amicably solved,” the release said.
The meeting reiterated its adopted stand against the activities of anti-social elements and warned its citizens never to patronize them or take sides with them when the culprits are booked. “On the whole, the meeting resolved to support the resolution No 4 of CPO and Sumi Hoho” adopted on March 25 at Dzulhami Village.
