‘Appoint teacher for environmental science’

Dimapur, April 23 (MExN): The chairman of Green Sons Jessy Murry gave a short speech Green Succession of Nagaland State (Green Sons) at the general meeting of Nagaland College Principals’ Forum which was held at Eastern Christian  College, Dimapur on April 21.
The chairman appealed to the principals of all Nagaland colleges to give proper knowledge and guidance to the students for protection of wild life and plantation of trees and calls for a halt to exploitation of mother earth for the sake of future generations who otherwise will be left with barren earth, stated a press note issued by Asst. Gen. Secy, Green Sons, Dimapur, Ashok Kumar.
The note also stated that the Green Sons appealed to School and Higher Education Department to appoint the specialized teacher for environmental science in every government schools and colleges as a mandatory and appealed to the private managing board to appoint the specialized faculty in their schools and colleges too, since, Arts or Commerce teachers cannot teach environmental science. “It should be from science background. So, the government should take proper care for that.”
Greens Sons donated few seedlings to the Eastern Christian College and urged the principals to plant it after the meeting in the Eastern Christian College Campus which signifies for the clean and fresh environment”, the note said.
