Niuland, April 12 (MExN): A one-kilometre approach road to Platinum College, Western Sumi Baptist Akukuhou Kuxakulu (WSBAK) Resource Centre at Nihokhu village in Niuland district was inaugurated on April 11 by Principal Secretary, Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Fisheries and Aquatic Resources and Parliamentary Affairs, Y Kikheto Sema (IAS).
In his address, Sema thanked Chief Secretary Sentiyanger for his support and Er Inahoto Yeptho, Executive Engineer, Dimapur, for supervising the work.
He said Platinum College is among the fastest-developing institutions in the state in terms of infrastructure and noted that it is endowed with a large eco-friendly campus.
Addressing church leaders, he emphasised the importance of tolerance and forgiveness, stating that the church should play a key role in promoting peace.
Sema said a road is not merely a physical structure but a vital link connecting the college to the outside world, adding that the new infrastructure would enhance comfort, safety and efficiency.
He said the development reflects the management’s commitment to providing a safe and supportive learning environment.
Earlier, Rev Dr Phughoto Sema, Executive Secretary, WSBAK, delivered the welcome address, while Dr Kalito Chishi, Principal of Platinum College, proposed the vote of thanks.
The programme was chaired by Hetovi Ayemi, Member, Board of Governors.
