April 30 assault on youth condemned

DIMAPUR, MAY 4 (MExN): The Sugar Mill Ao Students’ Union, 5th to 6th Mile Area, Dimapur has condemned those responsible for “insulting, firing guns at the vehicle and physically assaulting Tiatemsu, a senior and respected leader” on April 30 at 7th Mile, Dimapur. A press note by the MASU, 5th to 6th Mile area stated that Tiatemsu is “from a Missionary family and has a deep passion for our Naga cause in every aspect” and a “model Entrepreneur and a good resource person in numerous Naga youth platforms for brotherhood and progress, through his various journals, speeches and activities.” The note expressed the organization’s support for the DAYO stand and has fervently appealed for the District Administration to arrest all the culprits involved at the earliest. It further expressed regret over the “irresponsible action on the part of the attackers for mercilessly harming such an exemplary young man.”
