AR dedicates multipurpose shed at CHSS Kohima

Kohima, February 19 (MExN): Living up to its enduring motto as the “Friends of the Hill People,” the Assam Rifles today dedicated a newly constructed multipurpose shed at Chandmari Higher Secondary School in Kohima.

This was constructed under Op Sadbhavana Project 2025-26.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by officials of Assam Rifles, school authorities, students, and members of the local community, marking a significant step toward strengthening educational infrastructure and community engagement in the region.

The multipurpose shed has been constructed to serve as a versatile facility for academic activities, cultural programs, examinations, sports-related events, and community gatherings.

The initiative reflects Assam Rifles’ continued commitment to supporting educational institutions and creating opportunities that foster holistic development among the youth. The new infrastructure is expected to provide a safe and conducive environment for students to learn, grow, and showcase their talents.

The school management and community members expressed sincere appreciation for the support extended by Assam Rifles, noting that the new facility will greatly benefit both the students and the wider community.

The initiative further reinforces the bond between Assam Rifles and the people of Kohima, underscoring its sustained efforts toward development and welfare in the hill regions.
