Peren, April 1 (MExN): A critically injured woman survived an accident after timely evacuation by Assam Rifles patrol in Peren, according to a tweet by the Eastern Command of the Indian Army.
The incident occurred on March 29 night where, according to a separate press release from the AR, an auto driver under the influence of alcohol hit a mother and a child in Saijang Village under Peren District.
The lady sustained multiple fractures while the child escaped with minor injuries.
An AR patrol was in the vicinity around that time and helped the victim in getting proper treatment – initially at the Community Health Centre in Jalukie and subsequently, providing an ambulance for transporting the woman to Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (CIHSR) in Dimapur. The woman is now out of danger, the AR release added.
