2nd November 2012 is the Darkest Day for the family members of Late. Meena Rai, the innocent victim, who was raped and murdered at her own house by one Mohammad Saidul Alam, an Illegal Bangladeshi Immigrant (IBI) at Medziphema.
The repeated anti-social activities like, Witchcraft, theft, smuggling of Drugs, prostitution and repeated rapes and murders committed by the (Mians) IBI’s in Nagaland has to be seriously pondered by one and all, irrespective of cast, creed and religion. Meena Rai is not the first victim of rape and murder by (Mians) IBI’s. There are several such cases where innocent women were raped and murdered. Nagaland is not a “Red Light Area” but, Nagaland is for Christ. For how long we will tolerate such heinous crimes? Aren’t we capable to eradicate these (Mians) IBI’s from Nagaland forever or are the (Mians) IBI’s unavoidable?
Gorkhas are recognized throughout the world for Bravery, Honesty, Hospitality, Generosity and Simplicity. So, are the (Mians) IBI’s under estimating us for our honesty and simplicity? If so, your (Mians) evaluation is totally wrong. In a positive note “If you are good, we will the best but if you try to be bad then, we can be the worst”.
It is high time and enough is enough. Now we must come out on the streets, go every nook and corner and help the Government and the NGO’s until we wipeout this Virus. We must not sit idle and wait for the Government alone to clean our society, it is our responsibility too. Today Meena Rai became the victim, tomorrow will be your Sisters, mothers, daughters and your wives. Just condemnation alone in the News papers will not sort out this menace but it must be in ACTION because ACTION SPEAKS LOUDER THAN WORDS.
It is also to be noted that, why these (Mians) IBI’s are committing such heinous crime every now and then in Nagaland? All I feel is that, we are lacking behind in follow up actions. These people know that, even if they are apprehended after the crimes, they will be released from the jails. The point I want to make here is, Customary Court must take up such cases and befitting punishment must be given as per the Naga Customary Laws. It is also to question that, why the Indian judicial system in Nagaland cannot give a verdict for a capital punishment to a rapist. If rapists are hanged in other Indian States than, why not in Nagaland. Just imprisonment in jails alone will not stop such heinous crimes; capital punishment is the only befitting punishment for a rapist.
These (Mians) IBI’s having become so bold and brave those, even handicapped are raping women in Nagaland. In the incident of Burma camp last year, a group of 5 (Five) Mians IBI’s gang raped a women when the husband and wife were sitting near a Fishery Pond after returning from her work. This group of (Mians) IBI’s over powered the husband first than raped the wife repeatedly and the shocking part was, a handicapped was also a part of this crime. So, where are we today, when (Mian) IBI handicapped are raping our women in front of their husbands? Our women have become an easy prey at the hands of these (Mians) IBI’s. A day will come that; we will be Strangers in our own Land. In Dimapur, there are so many Mian colonies that, one should give a second thought before you venture in. Especially one must be very careful to go to these Mian Colonies after dark. They are so well organized that, they act like son of the soil and intimidate Non-Muslims. These (Minas) IBI’s are of negative attitude and negative attitudes always create an unpleasant environment and become a liability to society.
Before it is too late, let us all rise up and save our Land from the clutches of these Satans and Devils. Satan’s and Devils do not come with Horns and Long nails but they come in human forms like these (Mians) IBI’s. It is also to be noted that, due to such crimes committed by the (Mians) IBI’s, the reputation of the genuine Muslims in Nagaland are also affected. Hence, the initiative taken by the Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) for identification of the Illegal Bangaladeshi Immigrants (IBI’s) in Dimapur must be supported by one and all.
As a Non- Naga Gorkha Indigenous Inhabitant of Nagaland, I would like to mention here that, the Gorkhas have been living in Nagaland for more than 200 years and we have always preserved the aged old relationship with our Naga brothers and sisters. We always feel that, we are also equally responsible in building our society and walk hand in hand with our Naga brothers and sisters in all good and bad situations. The Dimapur Gorkha Union (DGU) shall always be a front runner in support of the Government and the NGO’s to eradicate anti- social activities in Nagaland.
