Dimapur, December 8 (MExN): Armed Forces Flag Day was observed in all districts of Nagaland along with the rest of the country on December 7. On this occasion and as a tradition, a reception was held in Raj Bhavan Kohima for Ex-servicemen delegates and family members accompanied by the Secretary, Rajya Sainik Board (RSB) during which token flags and car flags were presented to the Governor Nikhil Kumar and his staff members who contributed Rs 5000 towards Armed Forces Flag Day fund.
A press note received here stated that the Governor, who is also the president of RSB Nagaland extended his warm welcome to members and wished them and all Ex-servicemen a bright future. He further appreciated the welfare works being done by Rajya Sainik Board and Zila Sainik Board in Districts for Ex - servicemen, war widows and widows and informed that the organization is being strengthened.
He also advised the members to serve the Ex servicemen with dedication and commitment. As President RSB, the governor assured the members his full support for the cause of Ex- servicemen to all possible extent and advised the members to approach him for any problem. Light refreshment was also served in Raj Bhavan during the occasion.
