Army recruitment outreach programme held in Dimapur

Kohima, April 4 (MExN): Army Recruitment Office (ARO), Rangapahar conducted an extensive outreach programme in the Dimapur district of Nagaland to enhance Indian Army recruitment in various categories including Officers and Agniveer. The programme was held in coordination with Spear Corps Zonal Workshop, on April 4. 

The outreach programme was attended by over 83 eligible students of Nagaland Tool Room & Training Centre, Dimapur, stated a press release issued by PRO & Spokesperson, Ministry of Defence, Manipur, Nagaland and Southern Arunachal Pradesh.

The sessions covered the importance and nuances of the Agnipath scheme of recruitment, its advantages, opportunities post four years and clarifications of queries. Modalities of Officer entry schemes include National Defence Academy (NDA), Indian Military Academy (IMA), Officers Training Academy (OTA), Military Nursing Services (MNS) and Territorial Army (TA) along with Service Selection Board (SSB) interviews were elaborated upon.

The aspirants were briefed about the eligibility criteria, application procedures, and selection processes for each scheme. They were also explained about the organisation of the Army and types of Arms and Services.  Handouts, posters, pamphlets and other publicity materials were also distributed.
