Peren, November 1 (MExN): Assam Rifles participated in the celebration of Chaga Gaadi, one of the major traditional festivals of the Zeliangrong community, at Nzao village under Tening Sub-Division in Peren district.
The celebration highlighted the cultural heritage, traditions and community spirit of the Zeliangrong people.
On the occasion, Assam Rifles extended greetings to the villagers and presented gifts as a gesture of goodwill, friendship and solidarity.
According to a press release, the participation was part of the force's efforts to strengthen its ties with the local population and promote mutual trust and understanding.

During the ceremony, participants took the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas pledge, reaffirming their commitment to preserving the unity, integrity and security of the nation.
