Kohima, August 4 (MExN): Assam Rifles foiled an attempt to smuggle contraband items near Meluri in Nagaland during a night operation conducted on August 2 and 3. According to a press release from HQ IGAR (North), the operation resulted in the recovery of 192 bottles of illicit liquor, four grams of brown sugar, and three syringes. The estimated value of the seized items is approximately Rs 44,000. The recovered items were handed over to the Meluri Police Station for further investigation and necessary legal action.
