The Angami Students’ Union (ASU) will be organising a cultural fiesta under the theme “Together in Culture, Together in Harmony” on September 21 at the Capital Cultural Hall, Kohima.
ASU President Dziesevisie Nakhro informed media persons that the event, being organised for the first time in collaboration with subordinate tribal student bodies settled in Kohima, will be graced by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio as the Chief Guest.
The programme will include a solidarity message from the ENSF president, greetings by the NSF president and an exhortation by the president of the Angami Public Organisation.
The ASU has invited members of all tribal student bodies to attend the fiesta, stating that the event aims not only to promote cultural diversity but also to foster unity among Nagas.
The union said the initiative was intended to rise above the “ism, pride and ego” among different Naga groups and reaffirm that “Nagas are one and should remain united.”
