Kisama, December 4 (MExN): Yungan Khampai Konyak, the tallest man in Nagaland at 6 feet 9 inches, has become a major attraction at the ongoing Hornbill Festival.

The 24-year-old, weighing 120 kg and hailing from Longwawasa village in Mon district, has been greeting visitors at the Konyak Morung in the Nagaland Heritage Village, stated a report by DIPR.

Clad in traditional attire, Konyak’s presence is drawing curious visitors and enhancing the festive atmosphere, the report added.

The Konyak community considers him a “gift of God,” and his participation is seen as a blessing for all Nagas at the festival, the DIPR noted.

Yungan Khamoai, one of five siblings, is drawing tourists to the Konyak tribal dwelling, with photography allowed on a freewill contribution basis.

The annual Hornbill Festival is underway at the Kisama heritage village near the state capital.
