ATI conducts direct trainer skills training for govt officers

Kohima, August 9 (MExN): A week-long Direct Trainer Skills (DTS) training, conducted by the Administrative Training Institute (ATI) Kohima for 12 officers from seven government departments, concluded on August 8.

The course, part of the Trainers Development Program (TDP) sponsored by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Government of India, aimed to develop basic instructional skills for effective training delivery. Topics included instructional design, communication, facilitation, and assessment.

The training was coordinated by ATI Joint Director Dr. S. Rongsen Longkumer, with sessions by recognised trainers Lakshmi Narayan Thakur, Deputy Director (Retd.), Assam Administrative Staff College, and Prof. (Dr.) Soumitra Sen, Royal Global University.

Director General, ATI, V. Shashank Shekhar, IAS, urged participants to apply their learning for the benefit of governance and society. Participants expressed satisfaction with the training.
