ATMA Tsg to organise sensitisation programme

Dimapur, February 8 (MExN): The Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Tuensang will organise three days sensitisation programme in Tuensang town on March 2, 3 and 4. Tuensang DHO Dr. Moa Walling in a press release stated that the thrust cafeteria of activities will be district level exhibition-cum-competition, block level kisan mela-cum-competition, district level farmers training and district level filed visit and demonstration. Y. L Jami, IAS, Deputy Commissioner and Chairman, GB ATMA of Tuensang district will be the chief guest during the three days programme.
In the district level exhibition there will be a competition for different produces will be moulded plastic chairs: 1st prize 3 chairs, 2nd prize 2 chairs and 3rd prize 1 chair and consolation (three numbers) rupees 100 each. Exhibition and competition will also be organised for all the ATMA registered SHGs (compulsory) under the block level kisan mela category. 1st prize rupees 10,000, 2nd prize rupees 8,000 and 3rd prize rupees 6000 with certificate will be awarded for the best participating SHGs. Under this activity best BTT Block will also be judged and cash (rupees 10,000) with certificates) will be given. Exhibitions will ne held in the town local ground on March 2. No travelling expenses will be provided for the participation. The Tuensang DHO also stated that for detail contact BTT conveners of each block or the AMC members can be contacted. The time for receipt of the exhibits will be 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on March 1 and 6:00 am to 7:00 am on March2.
The details of competition for different produces are as follows: Fruits (Banana-1 whole bunch, Papaya-3 fruits with stalk); Pulses (Kholar-2 kgs dried beans, Soyabean-2 kgs dried beans, Naga Dal-2 kgs dried beans); Cereals (Maize-6 Cobs, Paddy TRC-3 kgs un-husked); Root Crop (Colocasia-1 whole plant-clump, Tapioca-1 whole plant tubers); Spices (ginger/nadia-1 whole rhizome-clump, ginger/local-1 whole rhizome-clump, garlic-5 whole plant-cloves, turmeric-1 whole rhizome-clump); Vegetables (French Beans-1 kg pod-green, mustard leaf-2 whole plants); Fish (Common Carp-500 gms & above, Grass Carp-500 gms & above); Poultry (Chicken/local cock-1 kg & above/one, Chicken/local hen-1 kg & above/one) and Eri products (empty cocoon/2 kgs, silk yarn/300 gms).
