Auto drivers in Chümou directed to wear uniforms

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 10 (MExN): The Chümoukedima District Auto Drivers' Union (CDADU) has made it mandatory for all auto-rickshaw drivers operating in the district to wear uniforms, citing the need for professionalism and easy identification of licensed drivers.

A directive issued by the union informed that pocket badges will be provided from the head office during working hours, which are from 10 AM to 1 PM on weekdays. The union has also instructed drivers to carry their identification cards at all times, with periodic inspections planned to ensure compliance.

Additionally, CDADU warned that strict action will be taken against drivers found operating under influence of alcohol or drugs. The initiative aims to enhance passenger safety and ensure that only authorized drivers operate in the district.
