Meluri, November 21 (MExN): An awareness programme focusing on Road Safety and the Motor Vehicle Act was conducted at the ADC Office in Meluri on November 21. The event was organised by Müluori Küchienyiri Kügharü (MKK) in collaboration with the Administration Department and the Police.

A DIPR report stated that Peter Shuya, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Meluri, took the stage to address the gathering on the crucial topic of “Traffic Etiquettes and Motor Vehicle Act.” He underlined the significance of traffic rules, road safety, and proper parking regulations. Shuya emphasised that a comprehensive understanding of driving rules is essential for everyone to minimise the risk of accidents.

Earlier in the program, Sakuchingmak, EAC Meluri delivered the keynote address, setting the tone for the importance of the initiative. The programme saw active participation from MKK members, police personnel, ward chairmen of Meluri Town, and representatives from the administrative department.

Chaired by Chitsiarho Po, President, MKK the event provided a platform for the community to engage with the critical aspects of road safety and compliance with the Motor Vehicle Act. The collaborative effort between MKK, the Administration Department, and the Police aimed to enhance awareness and promote responsible behavior on the roads.
