Axis Bank launches 5th branch in Dimapur

Axis Bank launched its fifth branch in Dimapur here at Lhomithi Village on Tuesday, taking the total number of the bank’s branches in Nagaland state to 10.  

Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, Limasunep Jamir, inaugurated the Axis Bank Lhomithi Bazar branch located at Ground Floor, Block 8, Lhomithi Village, in presence of Axis Bank officials and elders of the village.  

The police chief said the inauguration of another banking branch is an indication that Dimapur city is growing in terms of financial and business transactions. Jamir said the entry of private banks have greatly improved banking services and enhanced customers’ satisfaction.  

Talking from the security point of view, the CP requested the Axis Bank management to undertake proper verification of new employees including security guards and to ensure that security is full-proof in order to instill confidence and trust in customers. Deputy vice president, Cluster Head, Axis Bank, Nikato Sema, highlighted on the range of services provided by the bank. He said besides the usual deposit and loans, the bank also offers investment products including life insurance, mutual investment and general insurance.  

Deputy vice president and branch manager, Axis Bank Lhomithi Bazar branch, Asenla Chuba, said since Axis Bank forayed into Nagaland in 2006, banking scenario in the state has changed with the premier private bank acting as catalyst of that change by living upto the expectations of the customers.
