Kohima, June 20 (MExN): The Business Association of Nagas (BAN) held its 13th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at E-Space, Nagaland, on June 18, bringing together members, stakeholders and representatives from various institutions to deliberate on initiatives aimed at strengthening Naga entrepreneurship.

According to an update, the meeting focused on promoting sustainable business growth, expanding entrepreneurial opportunities and reinforcing support systems for Naga entrepreneurs across the state.

A key highlight of the AGM was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Agriculture Insurance Company of India Ltd. (AICIL) and BAN to foster collaboration in expanding insurance awareness and outreach across Nagaland, particularly in the agriculture and allied sectors.

According to BAN, the partnership is expected to strengthen risk mitigation mechanisms for farmers and agri-entrepreneurs, contributing to greater economic resilience, improved financial security and enhanced financial inclusion in the state.

The AGM also featured presentations and interactions with representatives from various government agencies and institutions, who shared information on schemes and opportunities available to entrepreneurs.

Reaffirming its commitment to promoting Naga entrepreneurship, BAN said it would continue to work towards creating an enabling ecosystem for businesses through strategic partnerships, capacity-building initiatives and advocacy efforts.
